AACET is widely known for  promoting and endorsing the curriculum and educational quality. Created in 1995, the American Association of Certified Engineers and Trainers organizational guidelines for endorsing Continuing Education and Training Programs are recognized and utilized by many organizations to insure their educational offerings. Based on the ANSI Standards to address processes for designing, developing, and delivering continuing education and training, the methods in which training is provided including the mediums and types of delivery. Particular attention is paid to the experience level and involvement of not only the organization delivering the curriculum but also the person providing instruction materials. AACET provides National recognition that crosses state lines for Professional Engineers wishing to be recognized in more than one state. Members include IEEE endorsements as well as memberships in the National Association of Professional Engineers.

 

AACET Authorized Providers must undergo a comprehensive application process adhere to a strict evaluation of their educational curriculum as well as demonstrate a track record of providing quality instructional programs based on national regulatory guidelines.

AACET Authorized Provider Status Means the Organization:

  • Demonstrates compliance with proven standards created in compliance with the U.S. Department of Education
  • Is dedicated to high standards for quality in continuing education and training
  • Awards the AACET Class Credits, the standard for quality in continuing education and training.
AACET Certified Engineers must demonstrate a proven track record of educational backgrounds as well as at least five years of hands-on applications of their discipline. Once the candidate has presented and completed the application and testing process, the candidate undergoes review by AACET's board of examiners to meet the final certification.

AACET's Educational members are not only dedicated to providing quality continuing education and training. AACET members play an active role in the continuing education and training community, AACET membership requires a continuous system of checks and balances to insure that the training stays consistent with the standards guaranteed by the AACET endorsement.
